Do you know why ALS/MND (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis / Motor Neuron Disease) is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease? Lou Gehrig passed away from ALS/MND in 1941 at the age of 37. He was the New York Yankee’s first baseman playing in a then-record 2,130 consecutive games.
